Walton’s World is a unique pre-school curriculum available for both schools and families. It focuses on the cognitive, social, and emotional development of children, while giving them the skill sets they need to excel in a traditional learning environment.
The specialized program focuses on simulated learning through travel to the seven continents of the world, where Walton the rescue dog takes children to different countries for eight weeks at a time. During these eight weeks, the children will learn pre-reading and pre-math skills along with the traditions and culture of a particular country. Children will gain invaluable learning skills, which will be the foundations for future cognitive growth and development, through games, crafts, cooking, imaginative adventure, and fun. Each game is designed to include all learning styles as well as the importance of mastering self-regulation skills such as taking turns and co-operative play. Our curriculum follows the guidelines set out by NCTM (National Council of Teachers on Mathematics) and NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children).
Paige Patterson Kratz is the creator of Walton’s World.

Walton’s World is the brainchild of pre-school teacher, Paige Patterson Kratz, who received an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and Child Development and a Master’s in Educational Technology. Paige has taught in a wide variety of pre-schools, ranging from Head Start, church-based, playgroups, and private schools. While teaching at these schools, She observed that age groups two through five learn by imaginative and structured play. She also concluded that understanding pre-math concepts such as patterns, sorting, shapes, and sizes should be an integral part of the pre-school curriculum. During her years in the classroom, Paige was frequently asked by parents to recommend outside resources to supplement the classroom learning at home, but found that the products available were limited and ineffective. This inspired the creation of Walton’s World.
